How long fibreglass pool relining takes in Bergvliet

From green pool to finished fibreglass pool: the stages
The photos below come from a Cape Town job on an old marbelite pool. They show the stages most relines go through.
Stage one is cleaning and preparation. We drain the pool, deep clean it and remove the algae. Then we grind or sand the surface, repair cracks and prime the shell so the new lining has a sound base.
Stage two is the lining itself. A reinforced fibreglass layer is laid over the prepared surface and finished with a gelcoat.
Stage three is refilling and balancing the water. The finished surface is smooth and non-porous. Algae has less to grip, so the pool usually needs fewer chemicals and less brushing than worn marbelite.
